Our Services

Vaccinations

Appropriate vaccinations are an important component of your pets’ preventative health care program.  Conscientious use of modern vaccines is your pet’s best defense against many highly contagious and potentially fatal diseases.  Your pet’s vaccination schedule will be based on sound veterinary medical science and consideration of your pet’s lifestyle and risk factors.  We also offer vaccination titre testing for those pets that may have the potential for an adverse reactions to a particular vaccine.

Physical examinations and wellness programs

Regular veterinary care is one of the best ways you can help to assure a long and happy life for your pet.  Routine physical examinations help to identify and diagnose health issues early, when treatment can be most effective.  We strive to be partners in the well-being of your pets and believe that well-informed pet owners are essential members of the veterinary health care team.

Senior wellness program

Pets are living longer than ever.  Shouldn’t they also be living better?  Senior pets are treasured members of our families.  They have shared our lifetime milestones and have always been there for us.  We offer a wide range of treatments and services to help make your pet’s golden years as healthy and comfortable as they can be.

Laboratory and diagnostic services

We offer limited-on spot- blood and urine tests and also sample collection for more advanced screening tests.

Surgical services

All elective or emergency surgical cases will be transferred to our closest and trusted base hospital partner. The procedure will be performed directly by one of our vets or under our supervision.

Pharmaceutical services

We carry a wide selection of medications and nutritional supplements in our facility.  For client convenience, soon we will offer online ordering and delivery of your pet’s prescription refill.

Daytime emergency services

As a mobile facility, we focus on routine and preventative care.  We understand of course, that the unexpected can happen in an instant.  We provide urgent care services and have the capabilities to assess and stabilize patients and relieve their pain so they may be safely and comfortably transported to a full-service veterinary hospital.  We offer immediate referral and will forward your pet’s medical records electronically so treatment information—including laboratory results—will be at the facility when you arrive.

In-home care support

Although veterinary medicine has made great strides in recent years, we understand that pets are most comfortable in their own home.  The best patient care is often provided by those who know the animal best, and that person is you.  When possible, we provide owner education, instruction and support so that pets may be treated at home.  We recognize that offering choices for treatment helps both owners and pets

End of life care

The decision to euthanize a pet who has been a significant part of your family may be accompanied by grief, anxiety and sometimes even guilt. Thinking about saying good bye to our beloved pets is difficult. While we hope that they live a long and happy life and then simply pass away in their sleep, the reality for most pets is very different. Vet On The Run Mobile Veterinary Services is committed to providing a peaceful and gentle passing for your pet. After care arrangements can also be made. You may choose to have a communal cremation or a private cremation.

All of the details will be discussed with you in advance so that you are well aware of what to expect. We would like to be able to make a sad experience less stressful for you and your beloved pet.
